Travel & Accommodations

We’ve curated a guide to traveling to Nantucket, along with hotel block details and a selection of recommended properties, and additional details on if you need help or have questions.

  • We will be hosting the conference at The Nantucket Hotel & Resort, a centrally located property just minutes from downtown.

The hotel blends classic Nantucket charm with modern amenities and will serve as a central hub for conference programming and transportation.

The property also offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport and ferry terminal.

    To Reserve:
Please call 508.310.1734 and reference the Wofford Advisors block to access preferred rates.

To view the type of rooms available, please use this link.

Room availability within the block is limited, and given the size of the island, we recommend reserving early.

  • Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK) is the primary airport serving the island.

For the most reliable travel experience, we recommend flying ta major carrier like United, Delta, and JetBlue. CapeAir out of Boston is very easy too, but can be subjected to more weather delays as it’s a smaller plane.

    • From New York City
These routes operate on larger aircraft and generally offer the most consistent access to Nantucket.

Most nonstop service operates from Newark (EWR) via United Airlines, with limited service from JFK and LaGuardia via JetBlue and Delta.

    • From Boston
Frequent daily service via Cape Air (short flight on small aircraft), along with limited service via JetBlue

Note: If traveling from outside the Northeast, you will need to connect through either New York City or Boston.

  • Private aircraft arrive into Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK).

    • Pilots should contact UNICOM approximately 20 minutes prior to arrival to coordinate landing and parking

    • Ground transportation is readily available upon arrival

    • If you are interested in having additional passengers, please let Caroline Reyes (creyes@woffordadvisors.com / +1650-867-3420) know

  • For those seeking an alternative to commercial travel, semi-private options may be available on a seasonal basis.

    • XO occasionally offers bookable seats on shared charter flights to Nantucket

    • JSX does not typically service Nantucket directly but may be used in combination with a short connection

Availability is limited and varies by season, so we recommend checking directly with providers for current schedules.

  • The airport is located mid-island, approximately 5–10 minutes from downtown Nantucket.

    • Taxis are typically available upon arrival

    • Uber and Lyft operate on the island

    • The Nantucket Hotel & Resort offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport and ferry terminal

Rental cars are available and can be helpful if you plan to explore the island or extend your stay. However, for the conference itself, a car is not necessary given the proximity of venues and availability of transportation options.

  • Ferry service can be a good alternative if you are already in the Boston/Cape Cod area or if air travel is disrupted.

    • High-speed (“fast”) ferry service is available from Hyannis, MA via:

      • Hy-Line Cruises

      • Steamship Authority

Ferries arrive in downtown Nantucket, within walking distance of many hotels.
